The standard we build to

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That is the same standard most public bodies are held to.

What that means in practice

• Every interactive control is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
• Text and interface colours are tested to meet AA contrast ratios; we measure them rather than eyeball them.
• Images carry meaningful alternative text, and decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
• The site respects your "reduce motion" setting: animations that move or scale are turned off, and content still appears.
• The layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320-pixel-wide screen, and supports browser zoom to 200%.
• Content is structured with real headings, lists, and landmarks so assistive technology can navigate it.
• Nothing essential depends on JavaScript: search, filters, and forms degrade to working plain-HTML versions.

Where we know we can do better

Accessibility is never finished. Seed vehicle photography is being replaced with real imagery that will carry fuller descriptions, and we are expanding language support. If you hit something that does not work with your assistive technology, telling us is the fastest way to get it fixed.
